What happens to my incentives if I switch?
Your monthly rewards will be updated to reflect your new tier starting on the on the day following your successful switch:
Moving to Advanced Tier: Your potential monthly reward increases to $25/month (up to $300/year). You will be required to maintain a charging schedule and limit "Boosts" or overrides to no more than two per month during peak hours. During off-peak, you have unlimited overrides.
Moving to Baseline Tier: Your reward will change to $10/month (up to $120/year). You will be responsible for ensuring that at least 80% of your charging occurs during off-peak hours.
Official Off-Peak Hours
- Weekdays: Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
- Weekends: You are free to charge at any time on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Holidays: Public holidays are always considered off-peak.
Timing Your Switch
We strongly recommend not requesting a tier switch during the final days of the month.
Eligibility Risk: If you switch at the very end of a month, you may run into a risk of not earning rewards for that period. This happens if there isn't enough time remaining in the month to meet the specific requirements of your new tier (such as the 80% off-peak threshold) for Off-Peak Rewards Tier or to have 2 or more charges captured on Scheduled Charging Tier.
Frequency Matters: If you charge your vehicle frequently, this may not be a major concern. However, for users who charge less often, switching late in the month makes it much harder to hit the required percentages or session counts before the month resets.
