Understanding Your Monthly Managed Charging Incentives on Baseline Tier
As an Eversource customer enrolled in the Managed Charging program, you can earn rewards simply by charging your vehicle at times that are better for the electric grid. Your rewards depend on which "Tier" you choose during enrollment.
What are the monthly incentives for the Advanced Tier?
The Advanced Tier is an "active" participation level. Instead of managing the schedule yourself, you let the ev.energy app (or your vehicle telematics) automatically optimize your charging for you.
Monthly Scheduled Reward ($25/month): You earn $25 every month (totaling $300 per year) for allowing the program to automatically schedule your charging.
Requirements:
Set a Schedule: You must provide a "Time Charge is Needed" (e.g., "I need my car ready by 7:00 AM").
Limit Overrides: To stay eligible for the $25, you must not "Override" or "Boost" your charge more than twice in a single month resulting in peak charges. During off-peak hours, you have unlimited overrides.
Emergency Events: You must remain opted-in to rare Emergency Demand Response events.
Official Off-Peak Hours- Weekdays: Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
- Weekends: You are free to charge at any time on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Holidays: Public holidays are always considered off-peak.
Total Potential: Advanced Tier users can earn a flat $300 per year.

Managed Charging participation incentives are typically calculated monthly but distributed twice per year (usually in the Spring and Fall).
The April-September Season gets paid in December
The October-March Season gets paid in June
Payments are issued via a check sent to your home address.Pro Tip: If you want the "set it and forget it" experience with the highest reward, the Advanced Tier is the best option. If you prefer full manual control over every charging session, the Baseline Tier is likely a better fit.
